Hi everyone - sorry I haven't updated the Bennett Blog in awhile. He has been a busy little boy! Two weekends ago, he went to his Lola Muriel's new apartment to check out her "crib" and ended up staying there with her for an afternoon while Mom and Dad got to play with Auntie Chris and Uncle Jerz sans baby!
Last weekend the family went to visit the delaMoses clan in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This marks Bennett's longest plane ride yet: over two and a half hours (we decided not to take our chances and drove all the way to Oakland just to take the direct flight). Bennett had so much fun playing with his buddy, Alejandro, going to the State Fair and celebrating the 34th birthday of Tita Rosa. Happy Birthday Tita Rosa! Bennett was ever the curious one, getting into every nook and cranny of their house. Here are some pix from our trip.
While we were in New Mexico, Bennett hit his 16th month old birthday. He talks ALOT - still mostly Bennettese, but every day a new word or gesture. His latest new words are "knee" and "down" and he loves to kiss us - a big wet kiss on the lips. He can also blow kisses, especially after saying "bye." He can eat with a fork and sometimes a spoon, and he loves eggs and rice. Bennett is also seeing how loud his voice can go and will shriek so loud the windows might break. When he's hungry he pulls me into the kitchen and points to the counter for food. If he sees me breaking open the bread bag or something he likes, he always plops right down on the kitchen floor, ready to eat. Oh and he's moving up to Room C on October 1st, with all the 18-24 month olds. Wow!
