Just this past week, Bennett has been pulling himself up to standing position, without the use of any furniture or pant legs! After making sure he is centered and balanced, he looks up at us, his six-tooth grin in full view, and starts to clap his hands. We always cheer him on - Yay Bennett! Lately though, he has also started to clap one hand to his head too, a habit which we hope he'll break soon. After a few seconds, he loses his balance and falls on his bottom, only to try to do it again. And again. And again. This boy is determined! Bennett also has started crawling UNDER chairs and THROUGH toy tunnels. He is a living prepositional phrase. Although sometimes, he does get himself stuck.
He is also quite the talker. I mean CHATTY. He didn't just get his looks from his dad:) His daycare left us a note the other day saying Bennett was wandering around the room, going round and round in circles and having what sounded like a full on conversation.
His favorite toys are still his drums, balls, and most recently, empty water bottles and his toy cell phone from Auntie Chris and Uncle Jerz (remember what I said about chatty). He also loves, loves, loves to chase ( read: torture) Frankie around the house. Bennett spends quite a bit of time under the dining room table and uses all the dining room chairs as walkers to get across the room.
And oh yes, lets not forget about food. Avocados, bananas, fresh plums and nectarines, lentils, tofu and rice, egg yolk scrambles, cottage cheese, macaroni and cheese, mashed potato - oh and i gave him a lemon too, just to see. At restaurants, we usually give him a big hunk of bread, as seen here while dining at Thirsty Bear in SF (photo courtesy of rosemary!)
So there you go - ten months old!
