Bennett had loads of fun this weekend playing with Alejandro, who was here visiting from Albuquerque. Rosa and Melanie came along for the ride. Almost everyone in the house was sick this weekend (yes, Bennett, his dad and I are sick too....AGAIN)so much of it was spent blowing our noses and watching the kids play. Alejandro is now 2 years old and will likely be a professional musician when he grows up. He knows every song on the planet (Madonna is one of his absolute faves) and he is thirsty for books. Here's Alejandro giving Bennett a hug:
For the first time, I noticed Bennett really interacting with another kid. Normally he ignores them and does his own thing. I noticed several other changes too, just in the past week. He likes to CLIMB now and he loves to give this coy little smile back at you when you smile at him. I think he might even be bigger. I can't pinpoint all the exact changes, but now and again, i notice these major shifts in his personality and i know it must be one of those growthspurt/milestone type of things. He is even more determined now - to get something, somewhere, somehow. And he'll fuss if you take something away from him - this is new. He is now 9 months old.
