Potty Mouth and Bennett's Latest Playlist

Bennett has a potty mouth. Well, not the kind of potty mouth you might be thinking. You won't catch him swearing like a sailor or anything, but he literally is fascinated with all things potty. He'll twist any song into a song about "poo-poo" and he'll delight in telling you that you have an "utot" face (utot is tagalog for "fart"). And instead of Mary having a little lamb, she might have a little "pee-pee" followed by several minutes of roll-on-the-floor laughter. For the most part, we think it is cute except for when one of his grandmothers calls and he shouts one of the above favorite potty words into the phone. Then I start to think maybe I should do something about it. Maybe this is something we shouldn't let slide? Or is this typical "boy" behavior? Am I overthinking this?

On a totally different note, I thought I'd share Bennett's latest playlist. We just came back from getting frozen yogurt and he usually tells us which song he wants played on the CD player. Tonight's request was "Emma Changin'" J and I could not for the life of us figure out which song he meant. Was it "Don't Go Changin'?"or "Working on the Chain Gang?" Finally we hit jackpot. It was "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac. He only remembers the part that goes "...well I've been afraid of changing..cause I built my life around you." Somehow that became "Emma Changin'"

So here's Bennett's top 3 music requests:

1.Landslide by Fleetwood Mac
2.Single Ladies by Beyonce
3.Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack
