34 Months Old

Today I saw a young couple heading into Target with an infant in a stroller. The Mom had this enormous diaper bag packed with stuff. The Dad was constantly checking under the blanket, making sure baby could breathe. Made me think wow, how things have changed in the past two and a half years. J and I used to be them. Going to Target was a big trip then, toting a baby around, worried about every little thing and packing the giant diaper bag as if we were going camping for a week.

Now we have this rambunctious 2.75 year old who likes to tell me I smell like an elephant. He can speak in clear sentences. He can point to a picture of an anteater and an armadillo and know their names. If I bump my head on something he will rush over to me and say "let me kiss it" and then insist I have a cookie. If his Dad goes #2 he will rush over to him and say "Now you can have a jellybean for going poo. Good job, Dad!" He loves to take baths. He is also a showman. When we have guests over, he becomes lively and animated and always insists they "watch me!" while he proceeds to make funny faces or dance or sing a song, which usually is Old MacDonald. He still only likes to eat cereal, chicken nuggets, yogurt, french fries and apples. The songs he knows on the radio he can recognize in the first three notes. And he likes to climb up. On anything.

My how time flies.

Awww, love this post and love that kiddo.

And now I am confused about blogger. Quinn Cummings uses the same blog site, but I am able to leave comments using my truejavachik LJ persona. But that's not an option here. Weird. Lots of times I want to comment on your posts, but it's such a pain to go through the steps needed. :(

Yeah Google is screwing me up as well. Now all of a sudden I need a Google "Account" and somehow I have ended up with two. You would think Google would have integrated things a bit better.
