Santa was good to Bennett this year

Bennett is fast asleep. He had quite a day! After staying up really late Christmas eve, he did not wake up until 10:30am. His Auntie Chris couldn't wait for him to get up! When he finally did get up, we told him he had just missed Santa and that he had left a present by the Christmas tree. Here it is - The Train:

Now this train has pedals and everything and can be taken for a spin. It does, however, weigh as much as my Mazda wagon out in the garage. Bennett had spotted this train (Trainspotter!) in a catalog that came in the mail and would not stop talking about it. We told him he had to be a good boy and Santa would bring him one. Although I wish this thing was smaller than a bread box, the joy it brings to his face makes it all worth it.

Later, Bennett got to meet up with Santa in person and tell him thank you!

This was the first Christmas where Bennett got to truly experience the excitement of gift giving, opening presents and of course, Santa. For J and I, it was a first for us too. We wanted to make it magical for him, which in turn made it magical for us.

Merry Christmas everyone!
