Performance Art

A week or so ago, we took Bennett to Santana Row in San Jose, an upscale outdoor shopping/wanna-be Euro residence/street. In the middle of the street is a park of sorts with big, chess boards and giant chess pieces. Bennett headed straight for the chess pieces, which were scattered all over the board in no particular order.

One by one, he picked each piece up and placed it ever so purposefully in the spot of his choice. He worked diligently to get them all lined up nicely, all white, then all black. He even had developed quite a fan base, including a Chinese family of three generations who all stopped to watch Bennett re-arrange the chess pieces. When he was done, it ended up looking like this.

And EVERYONE clapped for him. One guy even walked up to me and told me Bennett was quite the artist.
