Two Years and One Month

Monday marked Bennett's 25th month on this fine planet. I put him on the scale today, since it has been awhile since I weighed him, and it reads 30 pounds! He's certainly not a little baby anymore. He's tall, but mostly in the upper body - he wears 2T there, sometimes even 3T so long as you shrink it, like in the picture below (thanks to his Godfather Ron for the cool tshirt!).But for pants - he can still fit an 18 month pants around the waist. Most 2T pants are too long or too roomy in the waist, but he's getting there. And he will only wear 2 pairs of shoes - his Crocs or his Adidas. Nothing else will do. Sometimes he will insist on choosing his own shirt and when left up to him, he will always choose the same thing: long sleeved button down collared shirt. Preppy!

Bennett is in full copy mode - he will parrot most of what you say, so watch what you say! He still loves books, but the TV and computer can easily entice. Barney is now OUT and Little Bill is now IN. He loves to sing LOUDLY at the top of his lungs - at home, at restaurants, at the supermarket and in the car. Usually the tune is "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" but sometimes he breaks into One Republic's "Apologize" or he just improvs it. Like tonight, we went to Gumba's - a local pizza joint near our house and his song was "I LIKE PIZZZZZZA!!! I LIKE PIZZZZZA!!! I LIKE PIZZZZAAA!" even though everytime I've tried to offer him pizza he won't eat it. Instead he sticks with his tried and true Asian-boy food repertoire: rice with some form of brown, mushed meat. And tempura.

His interests still includes trains, zoo animals and music. And his favorite question: What's that sound? What's that sound, Mommy? What's that sound, Daddy?

Happy 25th month, Benny!
