Today, Bennett showed me for the first time that he is Mr. Independent. This morning, as I was trying to get him dressed to go to the doctor, he got really fussy. He did not want to put on the brown sweater! Instead, he ran over to his dresser and pulled out the plaid, button-down shirt that I normally dress him in on special occasions. This was the only outfit that would make him happy.
Later, after the doctor visit (he weighs 26 pounds by the way (60th percentile) and he is in the 90th percentile in height (TALL!) he pointed at a photo of J and him. He told me "daddy! daddy!" and then -- to my surprise -- he pointed at himself and said "ME!"
And for all our Filipino friends and family...you'll appreciate this. Bennett's been kinda gassy lately so he tends to let out these little toots. Today he looked up at me after he did it and smiled a huge smile and said "Oooooo-tot!" (translated means "fart!")
