Bennett turned 17 months this week. Now it is all about talking, reading and dancing. Oh, and cleaning. He is chattier than ever, with new words popping out of his mouth every single day. His favorite new ones are "bubbos" (bubbles), "vakooooo" (vacuum), "mine"( oh dear!) and "waffo" (waffle). He can't get enough of books and is into Dick and Jane, Goodnight Moon and BabyCakes. Though he can't say the word "music" he tells me he wants to hear it by shaking his little tush and moving his arms up and down. And finally - the cleaning. His Grandpa and Grandma bought him a toy vacuum when we went to visit last week and he LOVES this so much, he drags the vacuum in to bed with him.
We've signed him up for Gymboree again starting this Saturday so he can work out all that extra energy he gets from eating too many goldfish crackers. This kid is nothing but energy. J says he is like my mother - "sprightly" and always doing so much. He is also turning out to be a bit of a clown or a ham. He likes to stick clothes that he finds in the laundry and stick it on his head and walk around and laugh. His daycare provider, Nahal, told me he is now running up to her, licking her hand and running away laughing like it is the funniest thing in the whole wide world.
