You Know It's Sunday When....

...you're seeking medical help AGAIN at a hospital near you. Yup, that's right folks. Bennett is becoming a regular. A few months ago, if you recall, he visited Stanford ER for the first time when he had a severe case of gastroentitis. On a Sunday. Then a few weeks ago there was the bloody finger incident, where we all got to see El Camino Hospital again (where he was born). On a Sunday. Today we headed back to Palo Alto to the Urgent Care Clinic (not the E.R. this time) because of an allergic reaction to penicillin which left him covered in hives. What day is it today? SUNDAY.

I have not gone untouched by the sick bug either. Usually Bennett gets it first, then me. Last week he was sent home from daycare with 102 fever. Next day it's me with the flu. Didn't I just have this same bug a month ago? Yup. It's deja vu all over again. Right now I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired. I don't think my work colleagues will even believe me anymore when i say Bennett is sick or I'm sick. But after this latest one, which I am still recovering from, I vowed to start working out again and taking lots of vitamins. I-MUST-FORTIFY if I'm going to survive our almost one year old.

Aside from learning the ins and outs of the Palo Alto Urgent Care Clinic this morning, today was a busy day. John and his sister Chris went "Good Willing" and found a TV stand that normally sells for $169 at Target for only FIVE DOLLARS. In Box. Never opened. A very nice piece of furniture - problem is, we had to re-arrange the entire living room which consists of a couch, a baby grand piano with about 30 picture frames on it and an arm chair, to find a spot to fit the five dollar Good Will find. At least now we have some good feng shui going on and Bennett has lots of room to almost walk:)
