I drove into the parking lot of the daycare center expecting the worst. Bennett had already had a few hours "trial run" the day before, when his dad dropped him off. Now it was my turn to drop him off and I was really nervous! By the time we got there, it was his morning nap time so he went straight into a crib. That's when the screaming began. I read his mind:
I don't want to sleep! Where the hell am I? Who are all these strange people? Why do you look like you're not planning on staying? Waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!
I had to leave. Fast. Driving to work, I broke into tears. My first day of work was hard. So was the first week. But now this!
Back at the daycare center, Bennett never did end up sleeping. He's able to take little catnaps but still not the nice one to two hour naps he takes at home. Not only is it too noisy with all the other babies crying, but there is so much fun to be had! He LOVES playing with all the other kids and with his new caregiver, Fariba (she's wearing the red shirt).
Here's Bennett making friends!
