You know that TV show Heroes that's on Monday nights? I think Bennett is one of them. I tell you this boy is unbelievably strong. He pulled off the mesh bumpers on the side of his crib, ripped off the educational toy that is strapped tightly onto his exersaucer and can do what is near impossible for me - a pushup. We were at the Container Store today and one of the employees who was helping us saw him and began what is now a very common occurence when we go out with Bennett:
"Awwwww. How cute. How old is he?
"Five months."
"Big."
"Yeah."
At this point the unsuspecting Bennett-fan sticks out his/her finger in the hopes that our little one's cute little hands will wrap around it. Little do they know...
"Ow. Wow. Strong grip."
"Yeah, OK Bennett, let go now." Bennett doesn't let go and his grip gets tighter.
"Oh - he won't let go of my finger." Bennett now digs his nails into their finger, nails which I swear grow back the minute I cut them. At this point John or I have to save the unsuspecting soul from Bionic Bennett's death grip fingers before we end up with one of theirs.
Maybe we should have gotten him a Superman costume for Halloween instead.
